A rare early to mid 19th century Indonesian Keris Pedang Parang-Sword from Java or Sumatra with a single edged straight blade. The scabbard would appear to be a low grade silver with embossing with an engraved metal grip. Most of these blades in this style are sword shaped, whereas this particular keris is similar to a Parang or machette.
The solid steel hand forged laminated blade has a twisted centre core running down the length of the blade.
